If you drive a car in Kazakhstan, you can't do without this insurance. MTPL (Mandatory Third-Party Liability) is a compulsory policy that every driver must have. Why you need an MTPL policy


The Mandatory Civil Liability Insurance Policy for Vehicle Owners (MTPL VO) is your financial shield. It's necessary so that in the event of an accident, you don't have to pay for someone else's repair or treatment out of your own pocket.

The law requires that victims receive compensation directly from the at-fault driver's insurance company, even if the driver themselves does not have the funds. Important: MTPL only covers the damage to the injured party, not your own.

What MTPL from Halyk Insurance covers

Maximum Payout (For 2025):

  • Car Repair  - up to 2.3 million tenge
  •  Group I Disability  - up to 6.2 million tenge
  •  Death of a Person  - up to 7.8 million tenge (for all deceased in one accident)


Extend your protection: MTPL + CASCO

Remember: MTPL only covers damage to others. To protect your own car, you need a CASCO policy.
